Umbro and MTV have teamed up on a new line inspired by ’90s rave culture.
The sports brand and pop culture institution have collaborated on bright and graphic designs influenced by the UK’s acid house and rave movements of the late ’80s and early ’90s. The new collection includes checkerboard football jerseys, vintage MTV and Umbro logo graphic t-shirts and hoodies, bucket hats and snapbacks, vests, tracksuits and more.
The clothes’ silhouettes are genderless and oversized, tying back to the “baggy” style of club, work and streetwear made popular in Northern England during the rave heyday.
Last summer, Liverpool FC revealed their new Nike away kit inspired by the city’s ’90s dance music history.
See the collection on Umbro’s website.
